Guillermo Rodriguez
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Guillermo Rodriguez has been writing short stories since he was ten. Eventually, playing with words got him into Princeton University where he studied Comparative Literature and learned some German. He was part of a one-time workshop in novel writing with Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Toni Morrison. Law was in the horizon. Instead, he flew to South Africa and decided to become a filmmaker. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in film production at the University of Southern California, where he has edited two 35mm shorts titled Stone and Manuel and directed several projects on DV, three 16mm shorts and his 35mm thesis Playing.
